PRIVACY NOTICE
What we collect,
and why.
This notice explains what personal information this website collects, what it is used for, who else handles it, how long it is kept and what your rights are. It covers only this website. Claralix deployments operated by regulatory authorities run under those authorities' own notices.
01Who is responsible
nuvoteQ Foundation is the responsible party under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) for personal information collected through this website. Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to a visitor, nuvoteQ Foundation is the controller.
- Postal address
- nuvoteQ Foundation, Hazelwood Incubator, 47 Hazelwood, Hazelwood, Pretoria, South Africa
- Privacy contact

02What this site collects
Two things, and nothing else. This website has no accounts, no comments, no chat and no newsletter, and it loads no scripts, fonts or images from third parties other than Google's analytics script.
The demonstration request form. When you ask for a demonstration you give us:
- your name;
- your work email address;
- your organisation;
- your country;
- your organisation type, chosen from a short list;
- what you would like to see, in your own words, if you choose to say;
- your confirmation that you agree to be contacted about the request.
The time of submission is recorded with it. The form also contains a hidden field that only automated scripts fill in; a person completing the form leaves it empty and it holds no information about you.
Analytics. Every page of this site runs Google Analytics 4. Whether it may set cookies is your choice, made once in the prompt at the foot of the page and changeable at any time. Section 05 sets out exactly what happens either way.
03Why, and on what basis
The form asks you to agree to one thing before you can send it:
I agree to Claralix contacting me about this request. Your details are used to arrange and prepare the demonstration, and for nothing else.
That is the whole purpose and the whole scope. We use what you send to reply to you, to agree a time, and to prepare a demonstration that fits your organisation and the material you bring. The legal basis is your consent: section 11(1)(a) of POPIA and, where the GDPR applies, Article 6(1)(a).
"For nothing else" means: we do not add you to a mailing list, we do not send you marketing, we do not share your details with the organisations named on this site or with anyone else for their own purposes, and we do not combine your submission with other information about you.
You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to the privacy contact above. If you do, we stop contacting you and delete the submission.
04How long we keep it
Form submissions are kept for 12 months from the date of submission, after which they are deleted from the form storage described in section 07 and from the notification emails it produces. If you withdraw consent earlier, they are deleted then.
Analytics data reaches us as counts by page, country and referring site. Where you have accepted analytics cookies, Google Analytics also holds the cookie identifier and the events tied to it for the property's data retention period, after which it is deleted automatically. Our reports never contain your name, email or anything you typed into the form.
05Analytics, exactly as it runs
This site uses Google Analytics 4 with Google's Consent Mode. On your first visit a small prompt at the foot of the page asks whether we may use analytics cookies. Nothing is set until you answer. Your answer is stored in your browser (section 06) and you can change it at any time with the "Analytics choice" link in the footer or the button at the end of this section.
- If you accept. Google Analytics sets two cookies on claralix.app, named
_gaand_ga_followed by the property identifier. They hold a random identifier that lets Google Analytics recognise the same browser on later visits and group page views into a session. They contain no name, email address or anything you typed. They expire after two years unless you delete them or change your choice. The legal basis is your consent: section 11(1)(a) of POPIA and, where the GDPR and the ePrivacy rules apply, Article 6(1)(a) and the consent requirement for cookies. - If you decline, or have not yet answered. No cookies are set, from us or from Google. Google receives a separate cookieless signal for each page you view. It cannot stitch those signals into a history of you across visits or devices, and they do not appear in our reports.
- In both cases Google receives the page address and title, the page that referred you, your browser and device type, screen size and language, and the time. Your IP address travels with the request, as it does with every request on the internet. Google uses it only to derive an approximate location, at country, region or city level, and then discards it; Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.
- Advertising is off, whatever you choose. Advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation are denied by default and the site never enables them. Google Signals is not used. Analytics is used to see which pages are read and from which countries, and for nothing else.
06Storage in your browser
Apart from the analytics cookies described above, which exist only if you accept them, the site stores two small items in your browser. Neither is a cookie, neither contains personal information, and neither is sent to any server.
claralix-intro-seen-v1, in session storage: records that the short opening animation has already played, so it does not repeat in the same tab. Deleted when you close the tab or the browser.claralix-consent-v1, in local storage: records your answer to the analytics prompt, "granted" or "denied", so you are not asked on every page. It stays until you clear your browser data or change your choice. Remembering your choice is necessary to respect it, so no separate consent is needed for this item.
07Who else handles your information
| Provider | What it does | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Netlify, Inc. | Hosts this website and stores demonstration request submissions, forwarding each one by email to nuvoteQ Foundation. In serving the site and protecting it from abuse, Netlify processes connection data such as IP addresses. Netlify's privacy policy. | United States |
| Provides Google Analytics 4 as described in section 05. Google's privacy policy. | Google's global infrastructure |
Both act on our instructions under their published terms. Your form submission is therefore stored outside South Africa, on Netlify's infrastructure in the United States. No other third party receives your information. We do not sell it, and we do not pass it to the regulatory authorities or partner organisations named on this site.
08Your rights
Under POPIA you have the right to:
- know whether we hold personal information about you, and to be given a description of it;
- access a copy of it;
- correct anything that is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete;
- delete it, or have it destroyed, where we no longer have a lawful basis to keep it;
- object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time;
- complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) if you believe we have not handled your information lawfully.
Where the GDPR applies, you have the same rights together with the rights to restrict processing and to receive your information in a portable form, and you may complain to the supervisory authority in your own country.
To exercise any of these, write to the privacy contact in section 01. Tell us which right you are exercising and the email address you used on the form, so that we can find the submission. We will confirm receipt and respond within the time the law requires.
09Changes to this notice
If this notice changes, the new version is published here and the date at the top is updated. A change that widened what we do with form submissions would not apply to submissions already made without fresh consent from the people who made them.
